2. Information Involved in Exchanges

To facilitate a cryptocurrency exchange, the following information is inherently required by the nature of blockchain transactions:

• Cryptocurrency wallet addresses — provided by you to receive exchanged funds and optionally for refunds
• Transaction amounts — the amount of cryptocurrency being exchanged
• Exchange order ID — a randomly generated identifier to track the status of your exchange

This information is used solely to execute and monitor the exchange you initiated. It is not linked to any personal identity, is not used for profiling, and is not shared with third parties for marketing or analytics purposes.

3. No KYC / No AML Data Collection

OctoSwop does not perform Know Your Customer (KYC) or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) identity verification. We do not request, require, or store any identity documents or personal verification data.

4. Cookies & Tracking

OctoSwop does not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or any third-party tracking technologies. We do not integrate with any analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers.

Essential technical data (such as temporary session data required for the website to function) may be processed in memory during your visit but is not stored, logged, or retained after your session ends.

5. Third-Party Services

The exchange functionality is powered by third-party liquidity providers. When you initiate an exchange, the transaction parameters (wallet addresses and amounts) are shared with the liquidity provider to execute the swap. No personal data is transmitted because no personal data is collected.

6. Data Retention

Since OctoSwop does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain. Exchange order data (transaction IDs, wallet addresses, amounts) may be retained by the underlying liquidity provider according to their own policies, but OctoSwop itself does not maintain a user database.

7. Data Security

All communications with OctoSwop are encrypted via TLS (HTTPS). API requests are proxied through secure server-side infrastructure to protect the integrity of the exchange process. Since no personal data is collected or stored, the risk of a personal data breach is eliminated by design.

8. Children

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. Since no personal information is collected from any user, no data from minors is knowingly collected.
